Dress Code determined by the Host
Business casual for men is collared shirts or turtleneck sweaters and tailored trousers with appropriate footwear. Ladies shall wear shirts or blouses with tailored skirts or slacks and appropriate footwear. Blue jeans, shorts, tee shirts and athletic shoes are not appropriate. Athletic clothing is restricted to the Health & Fitness Center. Casual attire is acceptable on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays for House Guests.

For Members and their Guests
Please observe the house rule of no tipping. Members wishing to thank the employees for their service may make a donation to the Employee Holiday Fund.

Cell
Phone Usage
When visiting The Standard Club, cell phones
may be used in the Lobby or Foyer of each
floor, in private dining rooms and guest
rooms.
Smoking
Based on requirements set forth by the “Smoke
Free Illinois Act” smoking is banned
in all public places, in any place of employment,
or within fifteen feet of any entrance to
a public place or place of employment.
Private clubs are not exempt from this bill
(with the exception of hotel rooms that
are designated as smoking rooms.)

Parking
Valet Parking is available in the evenings, Monday through Saturday, beginning at 5 p.m. Self Parking is available at the General Parking Garage, located at the corner of Van Buren and Federal (just 1 block west of the Club), in which Members and Guests may have their parking ticket stamped at the Service Desk, to reserve a discounted rate. Parking or leaving your car on Plymouth Court with the Doorman is prohibited.
